I’m so sorry you had to say goodbye to your beautiful dog. Losing a precious pup is one of the hardest things many people ever go through. When my dog Ace died, it seemed that no one really understood the heartbreak I felt.
I started this site so that no one else ever has to feel so alone or like no one understands just how hard it can be. Read the blog posts, or at least the ones you feel drawn to; they can help you feel not so alone and perhaps give you some helpful perspective. I’ve also created some special tools that will help you feel more connected to your dog; you can find them by going to the menu at the top.
Right now, the pain of losing your dog may seem unbearable. When faced with such a great loss, it’s not unusual to find yourself crying uncontrollably, losing sleep, isolating yourself from others, feeling alone, and perhaps losing or gaining weight.

There are many reasons, that for some, losing a dog can be more difficult than losing a human family member or friend. Often, we spend more time with and give more attention to our dog than anyone else. They make us laugh, comfort us when we are sad and provide constant companionship when we let them.
While I had believed in an afterlife for some time, it was still an esoteric concept, hard to wrap the brain around, simply because we just can’t know with the same kind of certainty that we know so many other things. It’s not tangible to us; it’s a concept, and that can be hard to fully embrace. Or at least it was, until Ace died.
I’m happy to “Chat” with you about your loss
and offer you personal support.
You can click on the (Chat) picture in the corner of Sara…
she’s the sweet senior I rescued about a year
after I lost my Soul Dog Ace, seen with me in the photo.
Sadly, I said goodbye to Sara on 4/22/16. She was 14.5 yrs when she passed, just a week short of our two-year anniversary together.
If you’d like, you can read Ace’s Story and
how Sara & I came together, and even see my newest pup Gil, aka Gilly Skiggles!
If you see that I’m not available, please send a note. I’d love to hear your story, too!
I promise to get back to you as soon as possible.
You don’t have to suffer the heartbreak alone!
Dogs are angels sent from heaven in order to help us be better people.

The greatest gift you can give your dog is to give a higher purpose and meaning
